Meet the Baker
Hi, I’m Hilary Holland, the baker behind Sweet Side of Town!
After serving four years as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy and then spending ten years as a federal contractor supporting the health capabilities of the US Armed Forces just outside of Washington, D.C., I began to feel the pull of home. Returning to Michigan and to a smaller, closer knit community felt like the right moment to bring something new to the table: sharing my love of baking in a way that could reach beyond family and friends.
Sweet Side of Town began in the fall of 2025 as that dream took shape. Working from a small home kitchen, I craft each cupcake from scratch using fresh, quality ingredients and frosting made daily. From dependable year round favorites to imaginative seasonal flavors and unique custom designs, every cupcake is baked by a neighbor, for neighbors — a reflection of care, creativity, and a desire to make life just a little sweeter.
